Context

Energy statistics are the basis for a sound analysis that influences decision-making, strategic and politics orientation. Statistics give a clear idea of the energy situation and contribute in developing policies and even in carrying out major energy projects

Being able to assess the quality of energy data, understand the definitions used and distinguish among all sources of information, is essential to determine energy challenges, assets and problems, and when necessary to conform with national and international conventions

Objectives

Participants will :

• Acquire definitions and methodologies used in energy statistics to get an overall picture of energy flows.
• Learn basic tools required for checking energy data and establishing energy balances.
• Gain knowledge to assess the consistency and compatibility of energy data to better exchange with institutions/companies
